How do I sharpen a photo?
By SYMONE SEVEN
Ever feel like something is missing from your photo despite taking your sweet time to edit it? I experienced that all too often so there are a couple finishing touches I put on all my photos to have that complete feeling. One of them is to sharpen the photo to give it more clarity. Let me know you one of the ways I top it off, keep reading.
HOW TO SHARPEN A PHOTO
Create a layer copy with the keyboard shortcut COMMAND J
Zoom in for a closer look with shortcut COMMAND +
Go to Photoshop’s FILTER TAB at the top of the screen
Select SHARPEN from the menu, then SMART SHARPEN from the drop down menu
Adjust the radius to your liking, and click on an area like the eye to see a preview in the smart sharpen filter window.
My tip for this is to keep your radius relatively low as going too high gives the image a cartoon look. This method is more so a finishing touch to add more detail than a correction of a blurry photo.
