How can I clean a backdrop in photoshop?

By SYMONE SEVEN

While Seamless paper is most of our to-go’s, it presents it’s own set of challenges with rips, folds and stains that post be fixed in post. This quick fix is truly a QUICK fix as I was able to erase the flaws in a matter of seconds. Want to know how? Keep reading and keep watching.

HOW TO CLEAN UP A BACKDROP QUICKLY

  1. Use the LASSO TOOL to circle the flaws in the seamless  paper. Make sure you close the circle to end the selection.

  2. Go to the FILTER TAB, then select the NOISE submenu and select MEDIAN from the drop down menu.

  3. Then keep the RADIUS between 70-89 pixels to blur out the perfections.

I’ll never forget my collaboration with photographer Will Brown (Instagram: @2worldsmg) where he told me this trick. In this session, we used a brand new paper roll and still had to edit out the blemishes. This trick can come in handy for all situations just make sure that your radius isn’t too high and you don’t encircle too close to the subject.
